Belleek Classic Devenish Tower Luminaire
Creating a warming ambience in your home, this Luminaire was inspired by the famous monastic site close to Belleek called Devenish Island. This monastic community was founded by St Molaise in the 7th Century and was later raided by the Vikings in the 10th Century. This prompted the monks to build a round tower, which acted as an early warning system for raiders and in quieter times as a bell tower. These round towers are distinctively Irish and in turn became symbolic of Ireland and forms part of the design of our famous Belleek trademark. With its detailed stonework, shamrocks and pierced windows, this interesting piece of Irish history will be treasured by Belleek collectors for years to come.
